Lutheran Women's Missionary League is open to all women of all ages. This is a Synod-wide organization, geared toward making people aware of the mission needs both at home and abroad.
Mites (money gathered) are collected in the church level with 25% going to the state level and 25% of the state collection going to national. These small offerings are gathered to make a $500,000 mission project budget for Michigan and a $1,000,000 budget on the national level. The mission projects can be a roof on a school, a jeep, a bus, a new church seed, an airplane. Women all over the world contribute to the mites and these mighty mites have supported many missions.
