Redeemer has an excellent church library with many current fiction and non-fiction books available, as well as many popular series by authors such as Jannette Oke and Karen Kingsbury for adults. Children’s books and series for toddlers through teens are on the shelves, too. Frank Peretti, another popular author, is represented with novels such as Monster and The Visitation.
Recently, a man came to the church and asked if we might have a use for some wonderful works of and about Luther. Our church library accepts donations of books about classic historical church figures, as well as doctrinally sound academic writings. This gentleman donated six totes filled with books that would make any Luther student’s eyes gleam with anticipation.
Our library now has a huge inventory of volumes in new or nearly new condition from Luther and other great Lutheran authors on theology, church history, pastoral care, and Scripture study. Nearly $4000 worth! Thank God and this unnamed gentleman for an invaluable gift to our library.
