He Is

Sixth Sunday in Easter: First Lesson, Acts 10:34-48

Acts 10:34-48

Easy reading this week. Not the Bible text, but my text. Now I’m going to lift a phrase from the first reading so I want you all to be good students of Scripture to see how this fits. Context, context, context. But it is such a stunning idea and is easily read over in the flow of the passage. Referring to our dear Lord, Luke writes, “He is Lord of all”(10:36).

That’s it. Now read your Bibles and ponder the greatness of what that means and why its true. Here’s a clue:

He is risen! He is risen, indeed! Alleluia!
